6 Cool Things to Do in Philly This Winter

Winter is a time of year when so many people vanish inside and forget to get out and have fun, but Philadelphia has a lot of activities and fun that’s set to change your opinion on that!

Whether you’re new to town and aren’t sure what fun things you can do or see, or you’ve lived here for a year and want a more interesting winter this year, these are six awesome things you should try this season!

1- Winter Break Camp 2022: December 26th to December 30th

Hosted by Music Theater Philly, this is an awesome camp for younger children.  Whether your kid loves singing, dancing, acting, or games, there’s a lot for kids grades kindergarten to fifth!  A week is $475, while single days are $120.  Although you’ll need to pack a lunch and snack, there’s a lot to see and do while campers are here, and tons of fun for every kid who takes part.

2- Ardmore Winter Beer Festival: January 14th

What’s a better way to warm up than to enjoy some fantastic beer and great company?  Ardmore Winter Beer Festival is an annual celebration of community and drinks, and you can have the time of your life enjoying connecting.

3- Winter Break at the Museum: December 26th to December 31st

Winter Break at the Museum is a great chance for students of any age to come and explore history through awesome special events.  Not only will you get the opportunity to see costumed living history and wintery scenes, but there are also hands-on tasks and learning that can be awesome for everyone.  The Museum of the American Revolution will be using this as a drive to collect toys for HomeFront Holiday Wishes.

4- HiJinx Festival: December 28th to December 29th

If you love upbeat music you can dance to; it’s time to visit HiJinx Fest!  Coming in late December, this music festival offers dozens of acts and awesome music from around the world.  Here you can check out everything from bass artists who will leave your heart racing to quick DJs who can turn songs into an entirely new works of art.

5- Winter Recital: January 24th

The Academy of Vocal Arts is putting on a winter recital this year that will stun everyone.  The incredible talents of these students will pull you into their songs, and the spacious auditorium will leave you inspired to come back and see more of their shows.

6- The Nutcracker: December 29th

If you want an exciting break from looking at Philadelphia houses for sale, there’s nothing better than getting to stop and enjoy some live theater!  One of the best stops in Philly is the Nutcracker!  Hosted by the Academy of Music Philadelphia, you’ll get to watch the musical and dance stylings of some of the most talented artists.
